These pages are about my model railroad currently in the planning phase. The layouts theme will be a part of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy's route between West Quincy and Kansas City/St. Joseph. This is a single track mainline, which is what I prefer.

The layout will be in HO scale and be located in a spare bedroom. Due to the modest size of the room, I am considering using a double deck design. Actually there may even be more decks when staging is added.

The time period to be modeled is late fall 1953. Why that period? Well, that period could still see steam locomotives, and the Kansas City cutoff had been opened. As for passenger trains, the Kansas City Zephyr and the American Royal Zephyr had been put in service, which gives me the opportunity to run relatively short Zephyrs.
