The Workbench
This page lists projects currently on my workbench. Several projects may be there at the same time, and some of them may stay there for quite some time before being completed (if ever). As you can see, there are mostly resin kits of freight cars at the moment.

My Workbench

SM-18 Stock car - CB&Q This is a resin car from Sunshine Models. It looks like this will be a good match for a brass stock car I have. I also plan to put live stock into the car. The photo below shows the car under construction and a comparison photo with a brass SM-18 car from Challenger Imports are also shown.

Double Sheathed Boxcar - CB&Q This is another resin car kit. Its a Westerfield kit of a USRA Double sheathed boxcar that CB&Q got 500 of in 1918. This is the modernized version that was resheathed in the 1930's and ran into the early 1950's.

Bomber Box - CB&Q A XA-14D Bomber Box Car. 60 cars got their roof raised to transport Wing sections of B-26 medium bombers during WWII.

Single Sheathed Boxcar X23 - PRR This is a Westerfield kit of a X23 car. This is the rebuilt car with new roof and old doors.

XM-28 Single Sheathed Boxcar This is a XM-28 box car from CB&Q. It is a Sunshine kit and this one is completed, and waiting for its turn in the paint shop.

Double Sheathed Auto Boxcar - NYC This will be a NYC 1916 Design Double Sheathed Auto Box Car.
